In the context of health research, InGef evaluates the benefits of alternative care models. The implementation of new care models according to SGB V §§ 73b, 73c or 140a, among others, is progressing nationwide. The legislator has prescribed proof of economic efficiency for these care models. In doing so, it explicitly includes the dimension of quality.

The goal of our work is therefore always to evaluate both the patient-centered and the economic benefits of a new care model and to provide those responsible with qualified decision-making aids.

In cooperation with health insurance companies, we evaluate new forms of care according to § 80 SGB X. InGef can refer to numerous successful projects in the field of evaluation of new forms of care. For example, in cooperation with the BKK Landesverband Mitte, we investigated the effectiveness of an integrated care program for heart failure patients.
